Lloyd Banks is on his way home to America after being held for allegedly assaulting and robbing a concert promoter in Canada over the weekend. According to his lawyer Patrick J. Ducharme, Banks had an immigration hearing early Wednesday morning (January 13) and was allowed to return to the U.S.

On Friday, Banks performed at a club called NV in Brantford, Ontario. According to police, after the show, Banks and three men he was travelling with held a show promoter/ booking agent against his will in a hotel room and beat him up. Police also said there was a dispute with the agent over money, including an appearance fee. Banks (real name: Christopher Lloyd) and his entourage were arrested around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

The G-Unit MC was charged with criminal confinement, aggravated assault and robbery, as were his associates. The alleged victim has been identified by Banks' lawyer as Chris Hines.

On Tuesday, Banks posted $50,000 bond and the others posted a required $25,000 each. After the bail hearing, two of the men were allowed to return to the U.S., but Banks and one of his associates, Nicklas Sloane, were remanded into immigration custody for unspecified issues.

While Banks' immigration issues have apparently been rectified, his lawyer said Sloane is still in custody awaiting a hearing that could happen Thursday. A spokesperson for Canadian immigration was still gathering the facts and unable to make a statement on the matter as of press time.
